These Terms of Use govern the Worlds Light community operated under the Worlds Light name. For account, privacy, accessibility, or rights questions, contact justeseanyemail+worldslight@proton.me. Community registration records acceptance of version 2026-10-29-account-v1.
Eligibility and secure access
The book and good-deed news can be read without an account. Online community accounts are currently restricted to people 18 or older. Complete registration using your own secure sign-in account, accurately declare eligibility, and accept these terms and the community guidelines. Do not share credentials, impersonate others, misrepresent your age, or bypass restrictions. We do not currently offer verified parental consent or accounts for minors. The age declaration is not independently verified unless optional provider verification is completed.
Your words and responsibilities
You keep ownership of your original contributions. You give Worlds Light a nonexclusive permission to store, display, and moderate what you choose to share, only as needed to provide the app. Share only material you have the right to use. Your comments represent your own views and responsibility, not the views or endorsement of Worlds Light or other Neighbors. Respect privacy, copyright, personal boundaries, and applicable law.
Constructive dialogue is encouraged to help Neighbors embrace their lights and grow. Harassment, threats, exploitation, scams, discriminatory abuse, and behavior meant to extinguish another’s flame are not tolerated. Follow the Community Guidelines. It's Always Cool to Be a Good Neighbor.
Connections, affirmations, and identity badges
Directory profiles and shared bios are optional. Following does not give anyone access to private records. Preset affirmations require the recipient’s permission settings, are limited to discourage pressure, and never require a reply. No private text chat is offered. You can unfollow, remove followers, block, or report a concern.
Optional verification means a connected provider completed specified identity checks. A badge is not a background check, professional credential, endorsement, or guarantee of safety or truthful content. A selfie alone does not establish identity. You may use a nickname and choose whether to display an earned badge. Do not ask other Neighbors to send identity documents.
Moderation and review
Automated language screening can make mistakes. Flagged contributions submitted for review are held for a person’s decision. Harmful behavior can lead to removal and loss of posting, commenting, and social interaction privileges following individual history review. Request reconsideration through Help & Community Care. The care team is not continuously staffed and is not an emergency service.
Privacy, removal, and external services
The Privacy Notice explains records, sharing choices, retention, export, and deletion. Remove individual contributions or delete your Worlds Light data in My Place. Downloaded copies and provider backups may persist. A minimal restriction record or provider-confirmed under-18 eligibility hold can remain to prevent bypassing restrictions or age blocks. Ask support for individual review. Provider identity deletion may take additional processing time.
Amazon, news publishers, charities, sign-in, hosting, and any identity provider operate under their own policies. Charity listings have no affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement relationship with Worlds Light. Donations and book purchases are optional and happen outside the app.
Free service and practical limits
Worlds Light charges users no subscription or verification fee. Connectivity and device costs remain your own. Features and availability may change. Content and community gatherings are provided for reading, reflection, and connection; they are not medical, legal, financial, counseling, or emergency advice. Exercise your own judgment when acting on community content or meeting others.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or protections that applicable law does not allow to be waived. Material changes will be posted here and may require renewed acceptance before participation.
